What is the order process?

During checkout, please choose your shipping/pick-up option and the date on which you would like the dessert(s) to arrive. Desserts are made to order. For local pick-up and delivery, we need 24 hours. Local pick-ups can be scheduled Wednesday – Saturday 9 AM-3 PM by responding to your confirmation email.

What do I do when I pick-up my order?

Arrange a pick-up date by responding to your confirmation email. Bring your confirmation email with you, either printed or on your phone. You will need to wear a mask in the restaurant at all times. This is the law. Thank you!

Wait, how does the local delivery work?

Arrange a specific date and delivery time window by responding to your confirmation email. We will either deliver the pies ourselves, or we will send them in an Uber.

What should I expect why my pies/crisps arrive?

Your pies/desserts will be shipped fully baked and frozen but may thaw slightly in transit. When you receive them, either continue to thaw or place in directly into the freezer. They will keep frozen up to one month or refrigerated up to one week.

Defrosting Instructions:

Pies can be defrosted in the refrigerator, but I find defrosting uncovered at room temperature is best so that the crust doesn’t get soggy. They will take up to several hours, depending on their level of frozen. Once thawed, follow the next set of instructions for storage.

How do I store my pies/desserts?!

Pecan pies can be stored at room temperature for up to three days.

All other pies and also pecan can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Pies, if never thawed, can also be stored frozen for up to one month.

Can I freeze my leftovers?

Sadly, no, but I would be shocked if you had any! You can store leftovers in the refrigerator.

How many people will a pie serve?

Well, I’m not here to judge, but typically a 9-inch pie will serve 6-8.

Do you have serving suggestions?

You know, I do! We’ve included three supplemental recipes to enhance your pies, but ice cream is always welcome! We’ve also included an information card with reheating, storage, and serving temperature suggestions! We want you to love our pies as much as we do!!

Can I get a custom pie?

Maybe. In addition to this pie delivery business, running a food blog and YouTube channel, and making the desserts for two Manhattan restaurants, we might be able to accommodate a special request. Please email Lindsey at cheflindseyfarr @ gmail.com with the subject line, “Special Request.”

Are your pies vegan?

No, they are not. We use real butter in all the pie crusts, so this is anon-negotiable unless you would like to submit a special request. See above.

Am I able to make changes to my order?

Maybe. Reply to your confirmation email and change the subject to “Urgent Change Request”. We will do our best to accommodate any changes with appropriate notice.

Are there limits to the number of pies/desserts that I can order?

Absolutely not! We are here for you and your love desserts.

I have a severe nut allergy. Is it safe to order your desserts?

Only the pecan and cherry pies contain nuts; however, the pies are made in a kitchen that also produces desserts with nuts. We do our best to sanitize equipment, surfaces and tools after contact with nut products, but we cannot guarantee that there will be no traces of nuts in “nut-free” desserts.

Why is there a “trace amount of vodka” in some of the pies?

We use vodka in our all-butter pie crusts to make them extra-flakey! Most of the alcohol evaporates during baking but some alcohol binds to the water in the crust and does not cook-out. There is no discernable taste, but I feel it best to mention these details.

What is the order cut-off for Thanksgiving?!

Don’t freak out. We’ve got you! Our order cut off is November 22nd for overnight delivery. The last day for pick-up or local delivery is Saturday, November 21st.

What is your return policy?

All items are final sale. If an item arrives damaged or spoiled, our team will work with you to determine an appropriate solution, including providing you with a replacement item or store credit. Please reach out to our team at cheflindseyfarr@gmail.com to resolve the issue within 24 hours of delivery. Please note that we do not issue refunds.

We at Chef Lindsey Farr LLC and Pastry Creations LLC (collectively the “Company”) take enormous pride in making sure that your order is packaged properly and shipped at the appropriate speed so it arrives to your doorstep in good condition and safe to consume. While we adjust shipping speeds and packaging according to the season to mitigate the risk of shipping fresh and frozen foods, occasionally packages are affected by conditions beyond our control, such as extreme seasonal temperatures. The Company is not responsible for orders that are damaged due to conditions outside the Company’s control including extreme seasonal temperatures, however we handle each inquiry on a case-by-case basis and are happy to assist you.

Many of our items are shelf stable and don’t require refrigeration, although they can be refrigerated upon arrival to extend the freshness of the product. In most cases, it is normal for our frozen products to partially or fully thaw in transit. Our products that require refrigeration are safe to enjoy as long as they arrive cool to the touch. However you should always refer to the insert in each package to learn more about how it should arrive and how your product should be stored upon arrival.

If you have additional questions about the condition of your order, or you believe that your order is not safe to consume, please contact our Customer Support team at cheflindseyfarr@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery.
